Will the HeartMath or Inner Balance App Work on my Computer?

Overview

The HeartMath App and Inner Balance App are mobile-first applications optimized for iOS and Android smartphones and tablets. They do not have native Windows (.exe) or macOS (.dmg) installers.

Compatibility by Device

1. Windows PC (Laptop/Desktop)

  • App Compatible? NO.

  • Solution: You must use the emWave Pro desktop software.

    • Note: The mobile apps cannot be installed on Windows.

2. Apple Mac (Laptop/Desktop)

  • Intel Macs (Older): NO. You must use emWave Pro.

  • Apple Silicon Macs (M1 / M2 / M3 Chips): YES.

    • Because these newer Macs use the same architecture as iPads, you can open the Mac App Store, search for "Inner Balance," and install the iPad version of the app on your computer.

3. Chromebooks

  • App Compatible? YES (Mostly).

    • If your Chromebook supports the Google Play Store, you can install the Android version of the Inner Balance.

Desktop Alternative: emWave Pro

If you prefer training on a computer, we recommend the emWave Pro software.

  • Features: It offers more detailed data analysis (Power Spectrum, accumulated coherence) than the mobile apps.

  • Sensor: You can use the Inner Balance Coherence Plus sensor (via the included USB-C cable) to run sessions in emWave Pro.
