Using "Classroom Mode" in the Inner Balance App
How to Use Classroom Mode for Group Settings
Overview
In a classroom or workshop where multiple Bluetooth sensors are active simultaneously, devices can accidentally connect to the wrong sensor. Classroom Mode solves this by allowing you to manually input a specific Sensor ID into the Inner Balance App. Once enabled, the app will only communicate with that specific sensor and will ignore all other Bluetooth signals.
Prerequisites
-
App Version: Ensure you are using Inner Balance App v3.9 or higher.
-
Sensor Type: This works for the Inner Balance Bluetooth (BTLE) Sensor and Coherence Plus Sensor.
Step-by-Step Setup
1. Identify Your Sensor ID
-
Turn your sensor on (ensure the blue light is blinking).
-
Look at the sticker on the back of the sensor.
-
Note the 4 or 5 digits that follow the text "HRV-".
-
Example: If the sticker reads
HRV-12345, your ID is 12345.
-
2. Enable Classroom Mode
-
Open the Inner Balance App on your mobile device.
-
Tap the Settings (gear icon) in the upper left corner.
-
Select App and Sensor Info near the bottom of the list.
-
Tap the toggle switch for Classroom Mode to turn it ON.
3. Enter the ID
-
A dialogue box will appear asking for the ID.
-
Type in the digits only (e.g.,
12345). Do not type "HRV-". -
Tap Submit.
How to Switch Sensors
If you need to use a different sensor with the same device:
-
Go back to Settings > App and Sensor Info.
-
Toggle Classroom Mode OFF and then back ON.
-
The app will prompt you to enter the new Sensor ID .
Important Notes
-
Exclusive Connection: While Classroom Mode is on, the app will ignore all other sensors except the one matching the ID you entered.
-
Personal Use: If you use multiple sensors personally, remember to turn this mode OFF after your group session so you can connect to your other devices easily.
